‘Tangled’ Meets with Huge Success in the United Kingdom

The Disney animated film, Tangled, reportedly took the No. 1 spot at the box office in the United Kingdom for this past weekend. It beat out The King’s Speech, which had been No. 1 for the past three weeks.

Tangled features the voice talents of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi. It is also nominated for Best Song at this year’s Academy Awards for “I See the Light.” It brought in over 5 million pounds in the United Kingdom.

The King’s Speech took the No. 2 spot while the dark drama,Black Swan, came in at No. 3.

Tangled also took the No. 1 spot at the Irish box office, bringing in over $1 million. This makes it the biggest opening for a Walt Disney film in Ireland.
